Nicole Ari Parker has worked on film, television, and on stages. The actress is best known for her role as Teri (the fierce attorney) Joseph. In the years following her marriage to her husband, she was referred to for her role as Nikki Kodjoe. While growing up within Baltimore, Maryland, she was always interested in acting. In an Maryland high school event at the beginning of her training, she was awarded the title for the best actress. She earned her acting degree from the New York University after working at 'The Washington Ballet Company', as well as performing in the theatre. Her debut role on screen in The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love fetched an immense amount of appreciation. The film was followed by films such as 'Boogie Nights Spark and Blue Streak. Soul Food, her TV show, was widely praised because of the performances she performed. Her appearances were in TV programs such as Second Time Around, and Empire. At the beginning of her career she performed in several stage plays. Parker with a strong passion for politics she is currently married to actor/model Boris Kodjoe. They have two kids together.

Contractor Born in Mumbai in India, was raised in Nigeria through the age of seven. She was already exposed to many different travels and different cultures at a very young age. She went to boarding school from the age between 7 and 9 years old in London. After that her family returned home to Toronto (Canada) which is where they were raised for her entire life. Contractor studied classical ballet in Toronto. Additionally, she excelled academically. She went to the Etobicoke School of the Arts. It is a special high-school for the arts, which allowed her to not just learn about theater, but also dance as well. Contractor was 16 when she realized that acting was going to be her career. She danced for over a decade. After graduating high school, she was awarded a full grant to attend at the University of Toronto, where she completed a masters degree in theatre and a double major in psychology and sociology. After one semester at the University, Contractor went to an open call audition for the production Pericles at the world-class and renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and got the role of lead. Her performance was lauded for the 92 shows that she performed in. The play won her an award in 2002, which was awarded to the Best Production of the Year by Canadian critics. Contractor accepted the invitation to join Stratford's Conservatory. There are only eight males and four females are admitted for the 20-week course in classical theater. Contractor got a confirmed place for the next season and was given the part as Hermia.
