Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox had studied for three year in the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. She survived on a student allowance and worked part-time to help supplement her income. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability when compared with her peers and contemplated a possible alternative direction she would take. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band before the band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she was the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop band. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began work on Diva in 1992, her debut solo album. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues, soul and jazz tracks. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox released Lepidoptera a collection of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let the door open... artwork that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut independent album.
